Text Summary for News
When news is shown on the ARCS website it either uses a manual summary that the content author can select or it will show a default of 50 words.
Selecting Your Own Summary
There are two options for selecting your own summary.
Option 1
To select your own summary edit the Article you want to change and find the text that you want to include in your summary.
Put your cursor in the body text where you want the break to be and then click the 
icon.
The text that is above the break is the summary and the text bellow the break is the main body content. It will split the text into two paragraphs.
Option 2
Alternatively, you can edit the summary in a separate text box. Click Edit summary right above the text editor and you will be given two boxes with text editors. One for the summary and one for the body.
