reCAPTCHA

reCAPTCHA allows you to limit your exposure to automated attacks on your website. reCAPTCHA also blocks most automated data entry that is usually SPAM.

Cividesk has already enabled reCAPTCHA for all ARCS Chapters.

Adding reCAPTCHA to Profiles

1) Go to the Settings page for the Profile you want to add reCAPTCHA 2) Expand the Advanced Settings fieldset

3) Save the Profile

Once you add the reCAPTCHA it will be required when filling in the Profile when used as a data collection form.

Adding reCAPTCHA to Event and Contribution Pages

To add reCAPTCHA to your event registration pages or contribution pages add reCAPTCHA to a Profile and then include that Profile on that page.

It is best to add the reCAPTCHA Profile at the bottom of the page so the reCAPTCHA is in a logical place.

Note: You must have a field in a Profile to include it as part of of an Event or Contribution page. You can hide this one field and just show the reCAPTCHA on the page but hiding the field is done with code.
